Courageous
I realize that this isn't Teacher Appreciation week, but yesterday Bob courageously and graciously taught our class while he was clearly feeling very dizzy. I was almost ready to jump up and start teaching for him but decided it would be better for me to just pray for him instead. His testimony of allowing the Holy Spirit to speak through him in the midst of his suffering from vertigo was a powerful lesson that I will never forget. Bob has suffered a lot lately and He has allowed God to teach us through his suffering.
Yesterday's lesson was incidentally about our emotions and how to not let them get in the way of our ministry to others. Bob was not going to let fear or dizziness or anything stop him from teaching his lesson! And he didn't. He provoked our thoughts like he always does from God's word that He loves and lives by. I mean who else could come up with, " Is it a sin to be shy?" Turns out it can be!
Thanks Bob for the lesson yesterday. I heard it loud and clear.
